Whether you are looking for advice on dealing with volcanic eruptions or avoiding flying croissants, I've got the experience and sense of humour to help!

I've spent most of my life travelling around the globe, as cabin crew for British Airways and as part of their communications team reporting for their inhouse TV service when it launched. In the words of Susan Sontag: I haven't been everywhere but it's on my list.

Throughout my long career with the airline I experienced lots of different countries and cultures and encountered many challenging, rewarding, moving,
terrifying and funny situations – all of which have taught me lots about the world, how to react quickly but calmly and adapt to whatever is thrown at me.

As a public speaker I have shared my diverse experiences to business and leisure audiences and have presented at travel industry events.

I've been around the world enough times to know the do's and don'ts of safe travel and can act as a guest travel expert on television, radio and in print – either with a regular slot or reacting to a breaking news story.

Explore. Dream. Discover. – Mark Twain

Since 9/11 the way we have travelled has changed in many practical ways but the basic thrill of discovering new countries and cultures to explore will always remain. Don't give up on your dream

journey – you just have to be better prepared. I always advise people to plan thoroughly: write checklists so you don't forget anything, take out travel insurance, pack with security in mind, relax and embrace the local culture.

If you follow my advice you will return refreshed and inspired and ready to plan your next adventure. And if you want to know about that flying croissant then why not get in touch – it's just one of the many humorous stories I can share with your audience.
